So my press was given a name through reputation, like any good nickname. Reason 1: My adherence to the countless rules of printmaking, was poor to mediocre during my college years. This lead to a print titled "Fucking Registration". which can be found in the photos section. So registration for people who don't print is making things line up evenly so you can have an identical edition. This is a pain in the butt. Reason 2: I am not sure how much this contributed, but I had five free Bad Boy MMA shirts that I wore to class a lot, because they could get inky and I didn't care so much.
What is it exactly that you do? That's a question I get asked often regarding my shirts. The answer is I make stamps. I make giant wooden stamps. First, I start with a board and an idea. Then, I draw my idea on the board, and figure out what will be in color. Next, I carve out everything that isn't going to be in color. After that, I ink up the block and run it and the shirt through a press. When the shirt is dry I heat set it, with an iron, and that's it.
